Cooking Instructions:

Swasdi Rasam Powder is a traditional South Indian spice blend used to prepare rasam, a tangy and flavorful soup-like dish. Here's how you can use Swasdi Rasam Powder to make delicious rasam:

Ingredients:
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon tamarind paste or lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Swasdi Rasam Powder
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
- 1-2 dried red chilies
- Few curry leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions:

1. **Preparing the Tamarind Water:**
   - Soak the tamarind paste in 1 cup of warm water for about 10 minutes. Squeeze the tamarind to extract the pulp, then strain it to remove any solids. If using lemon juice, skip this step and add the lemon juice directly later in the process.

2. **Making the Rasam:**
   - Heat ghee or oil in a pot over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
   - Add cumin seeds, dried red chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute until aromatic.
   - Add chopped tomatoes and minced garlic (if using). Cook until the tomatoes soften and turn mushy.
   - Pour in the tamarind water (or lemon juice) and Swasdi Rasam Powder. Stir well to combine.
   - Add salt to taste and bring the rasam to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

3. **Tempering the Rasam (Optional):**
   - In a separate small pan, heat a teaspoon of ghee or oil.
   - Add a pinch of asafoetida (hing) and fry for a few seconds until aromatic.
   - Pour the tempered ghee or oil into the rasam and mix well.

4. **Garnishing:**
   - Garnish the rasam with fresh cilantro leaves just before serving.

5. **Serving:**
   - Serve the hot Swasdi Rasam with steamed rice or enjoy it as a comforting soup on its own.

By following these cooking instructions, you can make a delicious and aromatic rasam using Swasdi Rasam Powder. Adjust the spice level according to your taste preferences and enjoy the tangy flavors of this traditional South Indian dish!
